WHO (NOT) TO BRING TO A PIERCING APPOINTMENT

In piercing and tattoo studios, there are certain safety and hygiene rules, and we kindly ask you to follow them so that our work can run smoothly and your visit can be as pleasant as possible.

COMPANION

If you’re coming in for a piercing with someone accompanying you, please note that you will enter the piercing room alone. The only exception is for minors, when one parent is allowed to be present (not the entire family). Piercing is not a group activity during which your friends can film the procedure, lean over the bed to get a better view, or bombard the piercer with questions. For your piercing to be performed professionally, the piercer needs concentration, space, and clear, uninterrupted communication with the client.

If you wouldn’t take your team with you to get a filling repaired at the dentist, please apply the same logic to the piercing studio! 🙂

CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD

In Croatia, there is no legal age regulation for piercings, so each studio sets its own ethical standards. You can find Octopus’s Minor Piercing Policy at the provided link.

Children under 12 years of age are not allowed in the salon for safety and hygiene reasons.
If you do not have someone to babysit your child, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment so we can reschedule your appointment. Please respect this rule because the piercing & tattoo studio is not a children’s playground, our employees do not have time to look after children during working hours, and screaming is only allowed in the piercing room 🙂
A child cannot stay with you while you are getting pierced, nor can they sit on your lap during the procedure, no matter how certain you are that they will stay calm. One sudden wrong movement could mean that instead of leaving with a nose piercing, you leave with a needle in your eye.

In the event that a parent ignores this rule and leaves their child unattended in the salon, they are fully responsible for any possible injuries to their child (falling down the stairs, injury on sharp edges of furniture or glass, etc.) and are obliged to fully cover any material damage that the child may cause to the salon’s inventory.

PETS

If you’re coming with a dog, please bring someone who can watch them while you’re being pierced. For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed on the upper floors, but they may wait in the salon’s lobby area (the glass section at the entrance).

If the dog continuously barks or howls, we kindly ask the caretaker to take it for a short walk so that the studio can operate without interruptions. If you cannot find someone to come with you and watch the dog, please let us know in time so we can cancel or reschedule the appointment.

MEANS OF TRANSPORT

Please leave your bicycles, scooters, roller skates, and other means of transport in the lobby (the glass area right at the entrance) and do not bring them upstairs. The piercing waiting area is not a parking lot, and we are unable to “find a spot where it won’t be in the way,” regardless of the item’s value.

In the courtyard in front of the entrance, we have a bike rack under video surveillance. If that is not sufficient for you, please let us know in time so we can cancel or reschedule the appointment.
