Which tattoo artist we will assign you to

Not all tattoo artists do all styles (e.g. someone may specialize only in realism, someone in ornamental motifs, etc.).

Whether the design is doable in the size you want

In tattooing there is a minimum level of feasibility that determines the smallest possible size of a certain design. For example, we will not do a cathedral in the size of a postage stamp because it will not look good over the years. Keep in mind that skin is a living organ, not paper, and it ages and changes, so every tattooed line will expand over time.

How much time is needed for the tattooing

Designs that seem simple sometimes actually are not, e.g. a plain circle on the forearm, a straight line around the arm or down the arm (due to the anatomical curvature of the arm, it is difficult to correctly position a straight line and it will warp depending on how you hold your arm). Sometimes more time is spent on simply positioning the design than it takes to actually tattoo it.

Approximate tattoo price

Until we have a finalized design, we cannot tell you the exact price but we can provide an approximate estimate.

Are consultations required

If you do not have a finalized design, i.e. an image of exactly what you want (with no modifications), we will first need to do a short consultation with the tattoo artist in the studio in order to determine all the details (appearance, size, price, colors, placement). In cases where you send us a design that requires no changes, and we agree on the exact size and price, we can immediately book the tattoo appointment.

Tattoo Size

We often receive inquiries such as “When is your first available appointment for a small tattoo?” This does not give us enough information to be able to offer you any appointment. For this reason, we kindly ask that you explain as clearly as possible what you want right from the start.

The term ‘small tattoo’ varies depending on an individual’s perception; to you it might be a 2cm tattoo, to us small tattoos are everything below A4 format. Therefore, it would be good if you measure exactly how big you want the tattoo using a ruler and let us know the size in centimeters, because in that case we are sure both sides are speaking in the same measurement units. Be sure to use a measuring tool (tailor’s tape, ruler, construction tape measure, etc.) because people often have an incorrect idea of how big 20cm really is when placed on the body.



CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT

A consultation appointment with the tattoo artist at the studio is arranged when:

  • you do not have any image of the design you would like to get tattooed
  • you have an image of the design but it needs to be refined or modified
  • you have an image of the design but it is a larger project (20cm tattoo or larger)

At the consultation appointment, together with the tattoo artist you will agree on the exact look of the design, size, placement on the body, colors, price, and all other details. After that, we can reserve a tattoo appointment.

Consultations do not obligate you to get tattooed; it is only necessary to arrange a time for the conversation.

Each client is entitled to two free consultation appointments.

Additional consultations can be booked for a fee of 40,00 €.
If the client fails to appear twice in a row for scheduled consultations or cancels too late, the next consultation is treated as the third and is charged 40,00 €.

Designs drawn by our tattoo artists cannot be taken out of the studio in any form other than tattooed on the skin. Due to previous negative experiences where the artist would spend time creating an image and send it to the client, and the client would then go to have that image tattooed by someone else – we do not allow photographing or copying sketches, and we cannot send them to you via email or SMS.

TATTOO APPOINTMENT


A tattoo appointment is reserved by leaving a deposit (in person at the studio, by bank transfer, or via PayPal).

The deposit is 70,00 € for tattoos valued up to 200,00 €, or 50% of the total amount for tattoos valued over 200,00 €. The deposit must be paid within two working days of arranging the appointment, regardless of how far in advance you have booked it. Appointments that are not confirmed with a deposit on time are automatically deleted without notifying the client, as it is assumed the client has given up the appointment.

The deposit covers business costs in the event that the client does not arrive for the scheduled appointment and does not inform us in time. If something comes up and you cannot attend your reserved appointment, please let us know by email at info.octopustattoo@gmail.com no later than two working days before the appointment. Appointments reserved for Monday must be canceled no later than the previous Friday by 12:00h.

Otherwise, the right to a refund of the deposit is forfeited.

When paying, the price is reduced by the amount of the deposit.
