After getting a tattoo, the skin must be protected with wrap so it does not come into contact with dirt from the environment. Wrap also prevents lymph and blood from leaking out of the fresh tattoo. If clothing or bedding sticks to the lymph or blood, it can cause scabbing which, when it falls off, pulls out some of the ink from the tattoo. Under wrap, the skin cannot breathe, which may result in inflammation or pimples, leading to a poorer-looking tattoo.The choice of wrap depends on the design of the tattoo, its size, placement on the body, and the time of year. Consult your tattoo artist on which type of wrap is best for your tattoo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Disadvantages:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • completely blocks air from reaching the wound (tattoo)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • must be replaced every 2\u20133 hours (except during sleep)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • if the edges are not sealed, blood and ink can leak out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      SUPRASORB \/ DERMALIZE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      Suprasorb\/Dermalize (same product, different manufacturers) is a transparent polyurethane film that is breathable and flexible. Through the exchange of gases and heat, it creates a moist environment that promotes the healing of the wound, i.e. the tattoo. Suprasorb protects the tattoo from external infection-causing agents and does not interfere with showering because excess moisture evaporates through the film. While wearing Suprasorb, the tattoo does not need to be washed or moisturized, and it is worn for 5\u20136 days without removal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Although we all like the advantages of this kind of (non)aftercare – no washing and moisturizing every 2-3 hours -Suprasorb is still not an ideal solution<\/strong>.With larger tattoos that have heavier lymph, blood, and ink discharge in the first few days, all that fluid accumulates under Suprasorb and cannot be washed off or squeezed out unless the film is damaged, which causes it to lose its function.Suprasorb sticks to the skin so strongly that we do not recommend removing it before at least 5-6 days have passed after tattooing, in order to avoid damaging <\/strong>the tattoo. It must be removed very slowly and gently under a stream of lukewarm water. After removal, the skin needs to be regularly moisturized <\/strong>with a nourishing cream.A tattoo under Suprasorb can become inflamed <\/strong>if it comes into contact with sweat, which is problematic because you cannot remove Suprasorb to wash the tattoo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We do not recommend using Suprasorb during the summer months because increased sweating and heat can cause tattoo inflammation, increased redness and burning sensation, severe itching, etc. Inflammation can result in lower quality or damage to the tattoo. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
